Are you a teen girl between the ages of 12 and 18? Then you don’t want to miss this new teen conference especially for girls!

“Don’t Flip Flop in Your Walk With Jesus” is an event designed for teen girls, ages 12-18. Birthed as a result of the women’s conference “If the Shoe Fits,” Shannon felt called to prepare the hearts of teen girls with the truths of God’s Word so that they might grow into women of great faith and excellence.

"Don’t Flip Flop In Your Walk With Jesus” will help teen girls deal with the difficult challenges they face in today’s culture. Topics for the conference include:

• Body Image and the Store: The Truth Revealed
• Finding and Following Positive Role Models
• Nurturing Godly Friendships in a Flip Flop World”
• Purity and God’s Promises”
• Self Esteem-seeing ourselves the way God sees us in His Word
• Prayer, and what to do when you need answers
• Making Godly choices and how those affect our future

Conferences are scheduled on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each conference begins with a Praise and Worship session, followed by a general session with Shannon. After each general session, the girls will participate in age appropriate break out groups and small group discussion.

As the girls participate in the second break out session, Shannon will hold a private one hour session for parents of teens that wish to attend. This is a time for parents to hear about the subjects that have been discussed throughout the day, and find Biblical, practical answers that they need to help with issues concerning their teens.

Shannon was saved at the age of six, and has worked with children since she was nineteen years old. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Counseling, and was an employee of the public school system for fourteen years before going into full time ministry. She is a loving wife and mom, and has devoted her life to spreading the Word of God through her music and message. Shannon has charted songs on national radio, and her recent CD “The Real Thing” (written with “Life Way’s” Paul Marino) has received radio airplay nationwide. The “Houston Chronicle” quotes Shannon as saying, “I may not have all of the answers, but I know the One who does.” “She believes this, and passes this excitement for Jesus to the teens she addresses.”
