Shannon’s rendition of “Til the Storm Passes By” was played on over 100 stations across the country and used by several network television news organizations when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. Ironically, Shannon had recorded the song and played it by her mother’s bedside until her long, hard-fought battle with cancer came to an end just four days later. Shannon’s heartfelt, emotional vocals, combined with the piano stylings of 12-time Musician of the Year, Jeff Stice, breathed new life into a timeless classic.
Shannon has been singing professionally since she was 18 and has seamlessly blended her success as a national recording artist into all her events. She has had charting songs on national radio, performed with the Houston Symphony, and has appeared at Carnegie Hall. Shannon had the honor of performing the national anthem for 72,000 fans at an NFL football game and for the World Series Houston Astros.
