Shannon Perry, Recording Artist

Shannon has seamlessly blended her success as a national recording artist and voice coach into all her women’s conferences and retreats. She is one of the only speakers in the Christian industry who writes and performs original music for all her events. She has released six full-length music projects, had charting songs on national radio, performed with the Houston Symphony, appeared at Carnegie Hall, and sang the National Anthem in front of 70,000 fans at a Houston Texans NFL football game.

Shannon’s song that touched her mom before she passed away as well as thousands around the country.

Most recently, Shannon’s rendition of “Til the Storm Passes By” was played on over 100 stations across the country, and used by several network television news organizations during Hurricane Harvey. But the song was never intended for the public to hear. It was her mother’s favorite, and Shannon recorded the song and played it by her mother’s bedside until her long, hard-fought battle with cancer came to an end just four days later. The response to this song at Shannon’s mother’s funeral was overwhelming. Shannon’s heartfelt, emotional vocals, combined with the piano stylings of 12-time Musician of the Year, Jeff Stice, breathed new life into a timeless classic.

Shannon has also worked with Gordon Mote, a two-time winner of the Academy of Country Music’s top keyboard player award and Rascal Flatt’s studio band. She co-wrote songs on her CD, “The Real Thing,” with Lifeway’s Producer of the Year, Paul Marino.  Shannon and Paul wrote the song “Overlooked,” featured on Shannon’s latest CD, In Her Shoes. The music video for “Overlooked” was directed by Telly Award-winning filmmaker Jeff Kubach whose credits include the hit television shows Survivor and Burn Notice.

Shannon adds, “I strive to write and sing songs that will penetrate the walls of the heart.  Once the heart is opened, God moves on the chords of the life of the listener in miraculous ways.”
